As an Assembly Repair Maintenance Overhaul Mechanic, you will maintain assigned trucks, ships, and related surface cabin equipment by operating specifications. You will conduct mechanical inspections, use diagnostic equipment, and troubleshoot equipment problems to find solutions to complex technical issues. Additionally, you will maintain records, schedule maintenance of equipment, and provide supervision and leadership to technicians in the absence of the supervisor/manager.
- Maintain assigned trucks, ships, and related surface cabin equipment by operating specifications
- Weld, paint and refurbish equipment
- Conduct mechanical examinations and employ relatively sophisticated diagnostic tools
- Examine the assembly, disassembly, and test accuracy methods.
- Set up test systems and stations.
- Whenever necessary, make third-party equipment repairs easier.
- Analyze and interpret test results from environmental experiments, and diagnose equipment issues.
Keep records and arrange for regular equipment maintenance.
When the manager or supervisor is not there, you will be the technician’s supervisor, mentor, and leader.
- As part of quality control and assurance procedures, maintain equipment records and filing systems.
- Inspect and disposition parts and equipment
- Handle special projects as assigned
- Technical diploma or 9+ years maintenance-related experience in electro-mechanical function or minimum nine years relevant oil & gas industrial experience
- Although not essential, certifications are preferred: HVAC certification, upkeep of the electrical system, Stationary Engineer Skilled at reading and interpreting assembly instructions, assembly prints, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and other formal procedures, as well as proper maintenance practices.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in hydraulic circuits and ability to troubleshoot faults
- knowledgeable about how to use multimeters, megohmmeters, pot testers, and other essential tools
- Advanced analytical skills are required to solve complex technical problems.
