Job Description:
Our client, a sizeable conglomerate-based company, is seeking a skilled R2R Accountant to join their team in Dubai. The successful candidate will prepare GL schedules, engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate reconciliation of GL accounts, provide actionable insights, and review trends to identify opportunities to strengthen controls.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare GL schedules (reconciliations) every month.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to gather information for meaningful reconciliation of GL accounts.
- Programs should provide helpful information that can be used to anticipate problems and take prompt action to help them be resolved.
- Review trends, spot patterns, and look for chances to tighten controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/ACCA/CMA or similar qualification
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience using ERP systems in a similar role
- Sound understanding of taxation laws in the GCC and SEA
- Ability to analyze financial data using a variety of tools, including but not limited to MS Excel
- Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills
